Alan and Elaine Horsfield have transitioned from teaching through many other activities to become the successful authors of many children's and young people's books.
Alan and Elaine have lived in New South Wales, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland.
They have travelled extensively, using locations and incidents to weave many of their stories and poems.
Should you pop into Port Douglas, you may encounter them at their stall at the Wharf Street Sunday Market enjoying a glass of wine, the sun and chatting to visitors - and selling some of their books.
